This takeout restaurant expertly marries the comforting familiarity of traditional fish and chips with the bold, aromatic nuances of Indian and Persian cuisine, making every visit a flavorful journey.
Tabi's extensive menu is a treasure trove for food lovers: from their crowd-pleasing burgers paired with perfectly crispy fries to the irresistibly flaky Portuguese-style Pasteis and succulent fried shrimp, there is something to satisfy every craving. The bustling atmosphere described by locals speaks volumes about the quality and consistency of the food here. Customers like Stewart Beal praise the freshness of every item, while Amie Langford notes the perfect spice balance and welcoming service. M Dott highlights Tabi's as the best spot in Burnley for lamb Persian and spicy doner, emphasizing the owner’s charm and the comforting reliability of their favorite dishes.
Value is another impressive pillar here. Waqar Ahmed's experience, coming all the way from London with a group, reveals just how generous portions and affordable prices combine to make Tabi’s a true culinary bargain — offering hearty meals that won't stretch the wallet but will more than satisfy hunger. Sonia Lee’s recommendation underscores the crispy, lovingly crafted chicken burgers and authentic homemade naan, all quickly served with a smile, crafting an inviting experience that feels both personal and memorable.
In sum, Tabi's Takeaway is more than just a convenient meal option—it’s a local institution where every bite is a celebration of flavor, quality, and community spirit. Whether you're settling in for classic fish and chips or craving the complex warmth of a well-made curry, Tabi’s offers a delightful escape into tastes that are at once familiar and refreshingly adventurous.
Best chippie and Indian in burnley, everything is always freshly made
Stopped at Tabis and had the Keema chips which were so good! We had medium spice with extra chilli sauce and salad. The staff were very friendly and it was constantly busy.

Came from London, got myself some lunch and drinks for 8 people, everyone is full with loads leftover. Only cost £50. In London that would have easily easily cost double. Very thrilled with the food and the price. Bargain
